Meal Delivery to Homebound Seniors

Thanks to the generous donation from a major donor via Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco, KCCEB will start meal preparation and delivery services to homebound seniors in East Bay on May 18, 2020. Lunch will be prepared by designated Korean restaurants, and provided to seniors three times a week for 8 weeks. This donation enabled the start of the service and put us at 33% of our goal ($150,000) to potentially cover 500 seniors for 30 days. KCCEB also started a community fundraising, “Give a Meal of Love”, inviting community members to donate $10 per meal for one senior. This campaign will continue throughout May. Please visit giveinmay.org to learn more and donate.

Through the call campaign KCCEB started on April 13, KCCEB identified about 150 seniors who can benefit from this service so far. The volunteer task force is calling the seniors who showed interest in receiving this service and collecting their addresses to coordinate delivery. We expect the number of seniors will increase as we continue our assessment calls. Please call 1-844-828-2254 if you are interested or you know somebody who can benefit from this service.

If you are interested in an off-line donation, please contact June Lee at junelee@kcceb.org, or send a check to the following address. Make your check payable to KCCEB.
